Mettre à jour votre iPhone 4 en 4.3.1 sans modifier le Baseband (Windows)

Ce tutorial vous permettra de mettre à jour votre iPhone 4 en iOS 4.3.1 sans en modifier le Baseband en utilisant TinyUmbrella sous Windows.

Attention : Ceci fonctionne UNIQUEMENT pour l'iPhone 4!

Etape 1
Téléchargez TinyUmbrella ici. Assurez-vous d'avoir téléchargé également l'iOS 4.3.1 pour iPhone 4, vous pouvez le trouver ici.

Etape 2
Double cliquez sur le fichier TinyUmbrella.exe téléchargé.

Si une notification du firewall Windows apparait, cochez les deux cases et cliquez sur Autoriser l'accès.

Etape 3
Assurez-vous que votre iPhone est connecté, et que Tiny Umbrella a détecté le bon type d'appareil ainsi que son firmware.

**Si vous n'avez pas encore sauvegardé vos SHSH pour l'iOS 4.3.1 alors faites-le maintenant en cliquant sur Save SHSH. Assurez-vous qu'ils sont effectivement sauvegardés avant de continuer.

Etape 4
Cliquez sur Start TSS Server et assurez-vous de n'avoir aucun message d'erreur.

Une fois que le Serveur TSS "fonctionne" correctement, Umbrella va arrêter iTunes. Gardez TinyUmbrella ouvert. Vous pouvez contrôler que le serveur TSS est toujours lancé dans l'onglet Log.

Si un message d'erreur apparaît, NE CONTINUEZ PAS ! Votre restauration ne pourra pas se faire si le serveur TSS n'est pas fonctionnel ou n'a pu être démarré.

Etape 5
Ouvrez iTunes en double-cliquant sur son icône.

Appuyez et maintenez enfoncée le touche Shift (ou Maj) et cliquez sur Restaurer

Choisissez votre firmware pour iPhone 4.3.1 dans la fenêtre qui s'ouvre et cliquez sur Ouvrir.

Cliquez sur Restaurer pour lancer la restauration de votre iPhone.

Etape 6
iTunes devrait afficher une erreur 1013. C'est ce que nous voulions déclencher, puisque il détecte que le Baseband n'a pas été mis à jour ;) Cliquez sur Ok et fermez iTunes.

Si une erreur 16XX apparaît, essayez d'entrer en mode DFU et retournez à l'étape 5.
Si votre restauration ne se termine PAS par une erreur 1013, cela signifie que votre Baseband a été mis à jour. C'est certainement du au fait que le serveur TSS ne fonctionnait pas OU que vous avez fait la mise à jour sans TinyUmbrella OU que vous avez effectué tout ce qui précède avec un iTruc qui n'était PAS un iPhone 4.

Etape 7
Mettez votre iPhone en mode DFU en maintenant enfoncés les boutons Power ET Home pendant 10 secondes, puis relâchez le bouton Power en maintenant le bouton Home enfoncé pendant encore 5 secondes. Vous pourrez trouver de l'aide sur le mode DFU ici.

Etape 8
A cet instant Fix Recovery n'est pas fonctionnel dans TinyUmbrella. Téléchargez ce fichier .zip pour patcher la restauration en 4.3.1. Extrayez le fichier .exe contenu dans le zip et lancez le fichier fixrecovery43.exe. Une fenêtre de commande s'ouvrira, et le programme se lancera. Vous pourrez observer du texte défiler sur l'écran de votre iPhone 4 pendant l'exécution.

Etape 9
Votre iPhone est maintenant en iOS 4.3.1 avec le Baseband 1.59.00 ! (Ce qui signifie que vous pouvez maintenant le désimlocker avec ce tutorial)

These are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.3.3 or iOS 4.2.8 (Verizon CDMA) using JailbreakMe.

If you are already on iOS 4.3.3 or iOS 4.2.8 you can skip the first five steps of this tutorial.

*Remember that updating to iOS 4.3.3 will update your baseband and perhaps ruin your chances of an unlock. Use TinyUmbrella (Mac, Windows) to update the iPhone 4 to iOS 4.3.3 without updating the baseband.

Step One
Create a Pwnage folder on your desktop and place the iOS 4.3.3 or iOS 4.2.8 (Verizon CDMA) ipsw in it.

You can download the ipsw for your device from here:
4.3.3 (3GS): iPhone2,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw
4.3.3 (4 GSM): iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw
4.2.8 (4 CDMA): iPhone3,3_4.2.8_8E401_Restore.ipsw

Step Two
Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes.

Step Three
Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left

Step Four
Hold down the Option (Mac) or Shift (Windows) key and click the Restore button.

Step Five
Select the iOS 4.3.3 ipsw from the Pwnage folder on your desktop and click Open.

Step Six
Once your iPhone is running iOS 4.3.3, press to launch Safari from your desktop.

Step Seven
Navigate to http://www.jailbreakme.com and press the Free button.

Step Eight
Press the Install button.

Step Nine
Safari will now close and Cydia will download and install.

Step Ten
Press to launch Cydia and enjoy your jailbroken iPhone!

These are instructions on how to jailbreak your  iPhone 4 on the 5.0b1 firmware using RedSn0w for Windows. Since iOS 5.0  has not yet been released these are instructions for developers only.  This procedure will cause you to upgrade your baseband potentially  ruining your chances for an unlock, it will not hacktivate so you must  have your UDID registered with a developer, and it is tethered.

Step One
Create a folder on your desktop called Pwnage

Download RedSn0w from  here  and place it in the Pwnage folder.  Likewise, download the latest 5.0  firmware from the iOS Dev Center and place it in the same folder. 

5.0b1 (GSM): iPhone3,1_5.0_9A5220p_Restore.ipsw

Extract the RedSn0w zip file into the same folder.

Step Two
Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes. 

Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left.  Now hold down Shift and click the Restore button.  Restore is preferred as it won't create any wasted space on your iPhone.

Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the 5.0 firmware ipsw.  Click the Choose button to continue. 

Step Three
Once iTunes has finished updating your iPhone to the desired firmware open the Pwnage folder on your desktop and launch the redsn0w application from the redsn0w folder we extracted earlier.

**Windows  7 users may want to try running the redsn0w executable mode as an  administrator in Windows Vista compatibility.  You can do this by right  clicking the executable and selecting Properties from the contextual  menu.

Step Four
Once RedSn0w opens click the Browse button

Step Five
Select the firmware ipsw we placed in the Pwnage folder on our desktop then click Open.  

Step Six
Once the firmware has been verified click the Next button to continue.

Step Seven
RedSn0w will now prepare the jailbreak data

Step Eight
From this window you can select the jailbreak options you would like.

Make sure Cydia is selected and click the Next button to continue.

Step Nine
Please plug your iPhone into the computer and make sure its OFF then click the Next button

Step Ten
RedSn0w will now guide you through the steps to get into DFU mode.  You can find more help with DFU mode here

Hold down both the Home button and the Power button for 10 seconds.

Release the Power button and continue holding the Home button until RedSn0w detects the device.

Step Eleven
Your iPhone will now reboot

Step Twelve
RedSn0w will then begin uploading the new RAM Disk and Kernel.

Step Thirteen
Once this is complete you will be notified that RedSn0w is done.  Click the Finish button. When your iPhone finishes rebooting (5 minutes or so) it will be jailbroken with Cydia on the SpringBoard.

BOOT TETHERED:
Since  this is a tethered jailbreak you must use Redsn0w to help you boot back  into your jailbroken device if its powered off for any reason. Simply  connect your iPhone to the computer, launch RedSn0w, select Just boot tethered right now from the options window and click Next to have RedSn0w boot your device.
